WORKSPACE SKU MANAGEMENT
SKU provides a specific amount of Workspace units. A workspace unit is the amount of capacity needed to run one basic virtual machine (VM) for one day. Every virtual network device in MSP Hub has a cost of at least one VM unit.
Workspace SKU come in predefined sizes that are called Families or Series. An individual VM is often referred to as an instance. Different VM families are dSecureSigned for common use-cases and are comprised of certain amounts of CPU cores and GB of RAM.
Workspace SKU provide secure and elastic compute capacity in the cloud for workloads ranging from small development projects to large-scale, global applications like real-time communication platforms.
A variety of VM shapes are available, including the new flexible shapes, which lets customers specify the precise number of cores (up to 80) and corresponding memory (up to 64 GB per core) to match workload requirements. This capability alleviates the concerns associated with having to choose predefined sizes.

Ranges for Cores and Processors
- Standard instances: choose 1, 2, 4, 8, 16, 24 cores
- Flex instances: right-size cores and memory for Intel, AMD, and Ampere processors
GPU instances: select from GPUs Choose from Intel, AMD, and Ampere processors Utilize the CPU architecture you prefer, based on workload demands:
Region SKU
Based on the Region which the Cloud Accounts are generated or attached to Customer, Customer will have the options to choose Region Based VM SKU selections.
Currently the regions are allowed are:
Regions | Data Centers | Cloud | Region code |
---|---|---|---|
East US | Virginia | Azure | USA-EU-1 |
North Central US | Illinois | Azure | USA-NCU-1 |
East US 3 | Ashburn | Oracle | USA-EU-3 |
Supported Disk
Supported disks offer up to 32 TiB per region per subscription by default, but ultra disks support higher capacity by request. To request an increase in capacity, request a quota increase.
Based on the VM selection, Customers can choose the appropriate Disk.
Create WORKSPACE SKU
Customer can create VM size as per their requirement by following the simple steps
Tip
Settings → Cloud Management → VM SKU Management → Create SKU
- SKU name is mandatory field and it should be unique also. MSP Hub provides option to choose the family type (General types, Performance, High performance or GPU), RAM & CPU core can be added as per the VM configuration.
- WORKSPACE SKU is getting created on the region base. In Region VM SKU first need to select the Cloud provider (Azure, AWS, GCP or Oracle), then from the country drop-down select the Country and respective region will be populated along with data center. Based on the region selection data disk will be populate. And then need to select the required VM size by clicking on Select SKU option. In this way VM SKU will be added for the particular region.
- Added WORKSPACE SKU will be display in the VM SKU grid page.
